Meurthe-et-Moselle: a 13-year-old minor checked at more than 170 km / h on the highway


A 13-year-old minor was arrested at the wheel of a car by the police of Champigneulles (Meurthe-et-Moselle), after being flashed at more than 170 km / h on the highway.

Tuesday evening, around 11 p.m., the night brigade of the Republican Security Company (CRS) spotted a car traveling at 133 km / h on a portion of the A31 motorway, however limited to 90, at the height of the municipality of Bouxières-aux-Dames, according to France Bleu.

The police therefore began a chase to stop the vehicle, which did not slow down and did not stop despite the sirens of the police. The car even climbed to 170 km/h to get out of control. The driver, however, arrived at the height of a traffic jam, and the police were able to take the opportunity to intercept the vehicle.

The agents then discovered four people inside this car which was not insured, whose technical control was not up to date, and, above all, with a driver aged only 13, who therefore did not no driver’s license.

According to the Dépêche du Midi, the vehicle was loaned to this young minor by an acquaintance. The driver and front passenger, who was an adult, were taken into custody.
