Daniel Dumile (1971-2020), who was best known in rap circles as the legendary artist MF Doom, is dead. His wife Jasmine announced this on Instagram. The rapper died on October 31, 2020 at the age of 49. The cause of death is unknown.

A dazzling figure

MF Doom was "the greatest husband, father, teacher, student, business partner, lover and friend" Jasmine could ever imagine. She also thanked her for all the things he "showed, taught and given" her, including her family and children. "My world will never be the same without you," writes the deceased's wife.

A hallmark of the London-born MF Doom was a metal face mask. He has been making music since the late 1980s and has released numerous albums over the years such as his debut "Operation: Doomsday", which is now considered a classic for many in the scene. The industry magazine "Variety" calls MF Doom "one of the most celebrated, most unpredictable and most dazzling figures" in underground hip-hop.
