(Boursier.com) — From May 28 to June 7, 2024, DRUPA, the world’s largest trade fair dedicated to professionals in the Graphics Industries, was held in Germany (Düsseldorf). These “Olympic Games” of the profession were particularly awaited by the Group to present its digital printing and finishing solutions dedicated to professionals in packaging, publishing, “Web to Print”, commercial printing and of the label.
170,000 visitors from 174 countries attended this major event, which enabled MGI Digital Technology to conclude new orders with its partner Konica Minolta and to identify new prospects who will drive growth from the second half of the financial year.

MGI Digital Technology took full advantage of this major event thanks to its new generation of equipment and breakthrough innovations presented alongside the Konica Minolta teams who came in force to maximize commercial transformation during this event. More than 200 employees from both Groups were present in a common space of more than 3,000 m2, one of the largest among the 1,643 exhibitors from the 52 countries represented for this edition.
More than 30 pieces of equipment (JetVarnish Evo / 3D Web 400 / Accurio, etc.) were ordered on this occasion, confirming the enthusiasm for the Group’s digital finishing technologies. These orders highlighted the importance of MGI Digital Technology product lines within Konica Minolta’s sales teams around the world.

On the Alphajet, more than 300 new prospects had the opportunity to measure the performance of the Industrial Printing 5.0 platform at the heart of the new transformation challenges of Industrial Printing.
Promising first commercial successes were also achieved with the American partner Harris and Bruno on the first hybrid Inkjet/Fléxo solution developed jointly and presented at the show.
These contacts paved the way for several important negotiations, the completion of which is expected from the second half of 2024.

During DRUPA, the Group’s capacity for innovation was also rewarded during the EDP Awards organized since 2007 by the European Digital Press Association, an association which brings together 20 European specialist press titles. On this occasion MGI Digital Technology received the INNOVATION AWARD for its new JETvarnish 3D Web 400 digital embellishment equipment in the “Digital Embellishment Packaging” category.
This distinction will also constitute an undeniable asset to support its commercial momentum in the coming months.
After a first half which should already show progress, this success of DRUPA reinforces the Group’s confidence. An acceleration in growth is therefore expected from the second half of the year before a 2025 financial year which should allow MGI Digital Technology to fully benefit from the commercial reception received across its entire range during the DRUPA show.

Portzamparc underlines these first positive returns with order intake which announces a rebound in activity in H2. Enough to validate the analyst’s scenario which involves a turnover of 52.9 ME with an annual MOP of 20%. Verdict: “Buy aiming for a price of 22 euros”.
