The Xiaomi Mi Mix Fold, first of the name, was formalized almost a year ago. With a Snapdragon 888, an 8.01-inch WQHD+ screen and a triple liquid lens lens, this foldable smartphone was a great first attempt for the brand, which wanted to showcase its innovations. Alas, the Mi Mix Fold has never been released in France and remained reserved for China.

Fortunately, Xiaomi would like to repeat the experience with a Mi Mix Fold 2. The latter would still adopt an inward folding design, like a Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3.

Xiaomi Mi Mi Fold 2 Features and Release Date

This previously leaked new smartphone could be released sooner than we think, according to Digital Chat Station, via Gizmochina. leaker very active in China, Digital Chat Station claims that the foldable smartphone should be launched in second quarter 2022. We would therefore speak of a release between the months of April and June.

Several tracks have already been advanced in recent weeks regarding the characteristics of the smartphone. On the processor side, the Mi Mix Fold 2 could rely on one of the most powerful chips on the market, Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 1.

The internal screen should measure 8.1 inches (or 8.01 inches according to sources) with a 2K resolution and use a ultra-thin glass (UTG), common on foldable smartphones. Some rumors also mention the use of an LTPO screen instead of OLED. This is a new, more energy-efficient technology that allows the refresh rate to vary dynamically, depending on the content displayed. A technology already present on the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra in particular.

The battery should have an expanded capacity compared to that of the first Mi Mix Fold, which was 5020 mAh. The fast charge would obviously be there, probably even faster than that of 67 W of the first model. We finally know very little about this phone, of which no visual has been revealed.
