Chadwick Boseman recently made film history. Michael B. Jordan looks up to his deceased colleague and friend.

A few days ago, the nominations for this year's Screen Actors Guild Awards were announced. Chadwick Boseman (1976-2020), who died unexpectedly last year as a result of colon cancer, was posthumously nominated in four film categories. This has never happened before at the SAG Awards given by the actors' union, which are often also an indicator of the Oscars. Other actors were nominated just as often in one year, but not exclusively in film categories. Michael B. Jordan (33, "Creed") looked up to Boseman not only since this record.

"You're still raising the bar," Jordan said of Boseman's pictures on Instagram. He added: "I miss you, great homie." On screen, the two were enemies in "Black Panther", but in real life they were deeply friends.

He called Boseman his "big brother"

After Boseman's death, Jordan published a long Instagram comment in which he described his friend as "big brother", among other things. He also said: "I wish we had more time. In one of our last conversations you said to me that we will be connected forever and the truth behind it now means more to me than ever." Boseman has paved the way for him since the beginning of his career.

At the SAG Awards 2021, which will be presented on April 4th, Boseman is nominated for "Ma Rainey's Black Bottom" as best actor in a film and for "Da 5 Bloods" as best supporting actor. In addition, he and the rest of the cast are competing for the best acting ensemble with both films.
