Michael Ballack’s ex-girlfriend Natacha Tannous also mourns his deceased son Emilio. She shares sweet photos and touching lines.
Natacha Tannous (37) publicly mourns the fatally injured son of her ex-boyfriend Michael Ballack (44). Emilio Ballack (2002-2021) died in a quad accident in Portugal when he was only 18 years old. On Instagram the financial expert shared six black and white photos showing the middle of three sons of the former soccer star. They can be seen together in four of the photos. In addition, she published a long letter to her “dear Emilio”, in which she recalls the times they shared.
Charming, fun and peaceful
“When I first met you, you were 12 years old. You were an extraordinary teenager … so empathetic, compassionate, smart, kind, clever, good at everything (golf, basketball, soccer). You had an amazing personality , that’s why you’ve always been popular … You were so charming that you persuaded me to play hide and seek 4 times a day, or the ‘don’t laugh’ game that I always lost to you, “writes them and adds a tearful laughing emoji. “I still laugh at the stories from the expert summer camp,” it continues. “You just made everyone laugh and put a smile on everyone’s face.”
Tannous also remembers the peaceful Emilio: “I’ve never seen a teenager in my life who never fought and always tried to help others; you always put yourself in the middle and acted like a peacemaker. You were amazing. “
WhatsApp messages move you to tears
Although Natacha Tannous has been married to another man for a year and a half, she has apparently still saved WhatsApp messages from the time with Michael Ballack, including some from Emilio, because in the letter she continues:
“When I look through our WhatsApp messages, I can’t help but cry when I think of all the fun moments I cherish so much, and even the maths or the humanities essays, because you wanted to be good at everything, you were so ambitious and always challenged yourself. Being average was out of the question for you, “says Tannous. She adds, “I was convinced that you would be successful in whatever you wanted to do. And you have been. All your life. But it was just too short. It was stolen from you.”
The only consolation is that she feels so blessed to have met him and was fortunate enough to spend almost five years with him. “But that makes it just as heartbreaking and devastating …”
Nutella for breakfast and gummy bears in the bedroom
She also makes the great senselessness of this misfortune clear with the next lines of goosebumps:
“In hindsight, I should have allowed Nutella for breakfast, should have allowed me to stay up and play video games before exams, I should have allowed Haribos in the bedroom. Why try to be good when it’s all so pointless now appears … “, writes his father’s former partner.

Natacha Tannous closes her post with no less loving words. “My thoughts are with your papa, Louis & Jordi, grandma & grandpa and the family at the side of Michael and Simone in this extremely difficult and inconsolable moment,” she writes and continues: “Emilio, you touched each of us forever. You have now left an incurable scar in all of our hearts. In mine for ever. RIP “.
Emilio comes from the relationship between the ex-soccer professional and Simone Mecky-Ballack (45), along with two other sons (born in 2001 and 2005), who married in 2008 after ten years of relationship. The separation took place four years after the wedding.
