Michael Douglas: He's back in front of the camera for "The Kominsky Method"

The shooting of the final season of "The Kominsky Method" has started. Michael Douglas personally published the photo evidence.

So far it was unclear when the shooting of the final third season of "The Kominsky Method" could begin. The reason: main actor Michael Douglas (76, "Basic Instinct") belongs to the corona high-risk group due to his advanced age. Now the Hollywood legend has personally confirmed on Instagram the return to the set of the Netflix series – with a photo that shows him and show creator Chuck Lorre (68, "Two and a Half Men") with masks.

"Back at work on the final season of 'The Kominsky Method'," wrote the 76-year-old about the snapshot that he shared with around 790,000 followers on the social media platform. He was talking about his next scene with Lorre, who is known for his work on "The Big Bang Theory", "Two and a Half Men", "Young Sheldon" and "Roseanne", among others.

Season three without Alan Arkin, but with Kathleen Turner

The two-time Oscar winner plays the aged ex-actor and later acting teacher Sandy Kominsky in the comedy series. Together with his agent and friend Norman Newlander (Alan Arkin, 86) he masters the autumn of his life in a humorous way. In the final season, which was announced in July, Arkin will be missing. The "Argo" actor announced his departure in September.

Michael Douglas receives competent support in the last few episodes from colleague Kathleen Turner (66). The actress, who in the past already in "On the hunt for the green diamond" (1984), "On the hunt for the jewel from the Nile" (1985) and "Der Rosenkrieg" (1989) together with the husband of Oscar Award winner Catherine Zeta-Jones (51, "The Mask of Zorro") is expanding her guest role as Sandy Kominsky's ex-wife Roz Volander in season three.
