“It’s like a miracle,” says Marianne Hartl happily: Her husband Michael is back home after his stroke.

Michael Hartl (73) is well on the way to recovery. As his wife Marianne Hartl (69) told “Bunte”, the musician is already home after his stroke four weeks ago. “It’s like a miracle”, she quotes the magazine online.

It’s been a month since Michael Hartl’s stroke, and after an operation he was in a coma for days. According to his wife, doctors were so pleased with the progress Hartl had made in rehab that he was released early. “I could hardly believe it either,” said Marianne Hartl.

“No one knew what damage he would wake up with”

In the clinic, he trained with Nordic walking sticks and dumbbells, among other things. “Nobody knew with what damage he would wake up from the coma,” his wife recalls. “Thank God his speech center is not disturbed, but he has to work on his motor skills on the right side. Which is the least after such a severe stroke that he had,” says Marianne.

Even if he is still weak and sleeps a lot, Hartl now runs almost five kilometers a day in three stages. The couple had already made provisions for the future: the house has already been converted to make it age-appropriate.

The singing duo has been married since 1979 and has two sons. The two had already met in 1973 and a short time later were engaged as a singing and musician duo. Since then, they have also moderated numerous television formats such as the “Super Hit Parade of Folk Music”, “Funny Musicians”, the “Preliminary Decision for the Grand Prix of Folk Music” or “Christmas with Marianne and Michael”.
