Through a scene in “Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood”: Leonardo DiCaprio encouraged Michael J. Fox to end his career “peacefully”.

2020 declared Michael J. Fox (61) the end of his acting career. The “Back to the Future” star, who suffers from Parkinson’s disease, can no longer remember longer texts, among other things. In an interview with the Empire Magazine Fox has now revealed that Leonardo DiCaprio (48) played a role in his decision.

In particular, it’s about a scene from Quentin Tarantino’s (60) “Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood” from 2019. Leonardo DiCaprio embodies the worn-out actor Rick Dalton. Dalton wants to revive his career with a western series. But he messes up his first shot because he can’t remember his lyrics.

Peaceful farewell: “Well, let’s move on”

“He goes back to his dressing room and yells at himself in the mirror. Just insane,” says Michael J. Fox of the scene. She reminded him of his own experiences. “I had this moment where I looked in the mirror and I was like, ‘I can’t remember anything,'” he told Empire.

Unlike Rick Dalton, however, he did not react aggressively. “It was peaceful,” he recalled. “Well, let’s move on,” he said to himself.

At the age of 29, Michael J. Fox was diagnosed with Parkinson’s. It’s getting harder and harder to live with the disease, Fox said recently to CBS. He’s increasingly worried about his mortality. “I won’t be 80 years old,” said the Canadian.
