According to exclusive information from the magazine People published Friday, August 18, 2023, and resumed by The Parisian, Wade Robson and James Safechuck, who accuse singer Michael Jackson of sexual abuse, were heard by American justice on July 26, 2023. Now aged 40 and 45, the two men spoke in the documentary Leaving Neverland went out on HBO in 2019 and visible on 6play. In particular, they discussed the ravages of what they believed to have happened at the Neverland ranch. As a reminder, they claimed the star sexually assaulted them after befriending them at the late 1980s for one, and early 1990s for the other. Gathered to sue the two production companies MJJ Productions and MJJ Ventures, of which the artist was the owner and shareholder, they won their case. Elizabeth Grimes, John Wiley and Victor Viramontes, three judges of the court of appeal, indeed ruled in favor of the plaintiffs. The case is therefore relaunched and they will be heard by the courts. People specifies having been able to consult the 37-page file which notably explains how the production company MJJ Production and its staff were accomplices in helping, according to them, the father of Paris Jackson to abuse the children and to conceal these abuses.

Employees deemed accomplices

As the American magazine specifies, the court decision mentions that MJJ Productions would have notably “put in place procedures to isolate Jackson and these children, knowing that Jackson had previously sexually abused minors and sexually abused these complainants“. Some children slept several times a week in the interpreter’s room Beat it. Complaint alleges security personnel were instructed to isolate their parents away from the main house overnight. Employees also allegedly found Robson’s and Safechuck’s underwear on the floor next to the bed. Holly Boyer, one of the plaintiffs’ attorneys, said during the July 26, 2023 hearing: “They are children. […] Their dependence and vulnerability go with their age. In this context where it is necessary to protect children against sexual abuse, we require that the employees of the entity take these measures. At the heart of what we are talking about is child sexual abuse, which we need to protect ourselves against.”
