Michael Keaton: Comeback as "Batman" in new "The Flash" film?

Michael Keaton (68) should slip into the role of "Batman" again. The actor, who played the Dark Knight in the "Batman" films directed by Tim Burton (61), is said to be negotiating with the creators of the new "The Flash" film about an appearance in the DC strip. The US site "The Wrap" reports.

According to this, the negotiations are still at the very beginning and there is still nothing dry. Since "The Flash" and "Batman" live in two separate DC universes, it is said that not only time travel, but also travel through different universes should be possible. It is therefore possible that different versions of the same character can be seen at the same time.

The "The Flash" film is scheduled for release in June 2022. Directed by Andrés Muschietti (46, "Es"). Ezra Miller (27) will play "The Flash".

Should Keaton dive into the DC universe, according to "The Hollywood Reporter" it is even possible that the 68-year-old could appear as a kind of mentor in several superhero films. Keaton first slipped into the batsuit for "Batman" (1989). A few years later, he stood again as "Dark Knight" in front of the camera for "Batman's Return".
