His “Lucky Punch Comedy Club” is coming to television in June

Michael Mittermeier’s comedy club becomes a TV show. From June, BR will show six episodes of “Lucky Punch Comedy Club”.
The comedian opened last year Michael Mittermeier (58) has his own comedy club in Munich. Now the “Lucky Punch Comedy Club” is also finding a home on television – and is becoming a TV show.
From June 13th, the “Lucky Punch Comedy Club” with six episodes can be seen on BR television every Thursday at 10 p.m. The broadcaster announced this on Friday (April 26). The aim is to give young comedians in particular the chance to make a name for themselves among a larger audience. Well-known comedy stars and young talents present their programs side by side on stage.

“I am very pleased that we have now found a home on television with the ‘Lucky Punch Comedy Club’. We are now bringing the fun that the artists and the audience have in the club to the screens,” says Mittermeier in one corresponding communication cited. “Pure stand-up comedy: a small stage, a microphone and passionate artists who are passionate about comedy – that’s all you need.”
The artists include stand-up talents such as Ana Lucia (23), Freddy Ekue (25), Kristina Bogansky and Tony Bauer (28). Viewers can also look forward to familiar faces from the German comedy scene, such as Torsten Sträter (57), Simon Pearce (42) and Abdelkarim (42) or Filiz Tasdan (42).
Shows are recorded in early June
Other artists were featured on the official Instagram account of the “Lucky Punch Comedy Club” was announced. Accordingly, the six TV shows will be recorded on three evenings in Munich at the beginning of June and moderated by Mittermeier. Four comedians appear per show.
The “Lucky Punch Comedy Club” opened its doors in the Bavarian capital in autumn 2023. According to Michael Mittermeier, this made his dream come true. The club now offers a daily comedy program.
