Michael Rooker: The Guardians of the Galaxy star had Corona

Guardians of the Galaxy star Michael Rooker got through his coronavirus illness. Now he reports on his experiences.

Actor Michael Rooker (65, "The Walking Dead") was infected with the corona virus in March. In the meantime he has recovered and proudly shared his negative test result, dated September 4, 2020. But the disease has not left the "Guardians of the Galaxy" star unscathed: In a new Instagram post he describes his experience with the Illness as a "struggle".

"My immune system was not prepared"

Michael Rooker speaks of the virus having control over his entire body. "There's not a lot that can be done from the outside to fight off Covid-19 once it gets inside the body. And I have to tell you, it was quite a fight."

The actor says he isolated himself in an open-plan caravan while he was ill. Nor did he take any additional medication, vitamins or nutritional supplements during the recovery phase: "I had the feeling that my immune system was not prepared for the fight, and that filling me with all these additives would only have harmed me and put my kidneys under further stress . "

The film villain is all the more relieved that he is now cured. "Just so you all know: The daily struggle has come to an end," he writes on Instagram. "My body / immune system won the war! Covid fought really hard, but in the end I kicked his ass."
