It is an impenetrable bubble that has formed around Michael Schumacher. After his skiing accident which dates back to December 29, 2013, the Formula 1 world champion had been plunged into a coma, victim of a head trauma. More than seven years after this event which changed the life of the athlete and those of his relatives, the mystery hovers around his state of health. A mystery maintained by the fact that very few people would be allowed to visit him. In the columns of the Italian daily Libero, relayed by the Corriere dello Sport Tuesday 29 December 2020, Luca Badoer, a friend of the racing driver, revealed more about this privileged circle, remaining however very discreet about the evolution of his health. "Only a few friends, like me, (Jean) Todt and other people will see it and know his condition, about which I will not say a word. I just hope he can recover soon ", said the Italian pilot.

During that same interview, Luca Badoer shared some common memories with Michael Schumacher, who is the godfather of his son Brando. "With Michael and Corinna, we went on vacation with my wife and two children. We went to Geneva, they came to Montebelluna (in the province of Treviso, where Luca was born)", he said before continuing: "Brando adores him, (…) he dreams of becoming a driver of the Ferrari that Michael has driven all his life. Every time Michael came he would bring Mick who played with my kids. " Confidences charged with emotion.

Visits controlled by his wife, Corinna

Corinna, wife of Michael Schumacher, would prevent many people from seeing it. Asked by the German tabloid Kölner Express, in November 2019, the former manager of "Schumi", Willi Weber, had indeed confided on this subject. "I would like to know how he is and shake his hand or stroke his face. But unfortunately, this is rejected by Corinna ", he lamented. According to him, Corinna Schumacher would control everything that is published in the press. "She is probably afraid to see what is going on right away and to make the truth public", he added.
