Michaël Schumacher: this trip which took place in the greatest secrecy


It was already 10 years ago. On December 29, 2013, Michael Schumacher took advantage ski vacation in Méribel, in Haute-Savoie, when he was victim of a serious accident on the slopes. The former Formula 1 driver had, in fact, cfell on a bend and violently hit a rock. It had fallen on the right side of the head. After spending a long time in the hospital, the athlete finally returned home. If, since then, his state of health has remained very confidential, the German newspaper Bild provided information on the care he receives on a daily basis and about doctors’ latest attempt to stimulate his brain.

The German daily claims that since his accident, Michael Schumacher is supported 24 hours a day by around fifteen doctors, nurses and physiotherapists in his family villa on the shores of Lake Geneva, in Switzerland. The former sportsman would have already had the possibility of leaving his home in the greatest secrecy since to stimulate his brain with noises that are familiar to him, the caregivers took him in a Mercedes AMGa car model in which the driver raced during his last two years in Formula 1.

Michael Schumacher: the less than reassuring news from his brother

If for more than 10 years, doctors have been at Michael Schumacher’s side in the hope of improving his state of health, the silence of his loved ones seems to say a lot about the former driver’s situation. This Tuesday, December 26, his brother, Ralf Schumacher, however, broke the silence and gave less than reassuring news to local media, whose testimony was taken up by the Daily Mail : I miss the Michael of old. Life is sometimes unfair. Michael has been very lucky throughout his life. And then, there was this tragic accident… That day was full of bad luck. This terrible destiny has forever changed our family (…) nothing is the same as before.”
