Michael Wendler rows back. The broadcaster RTL doesn't seem to care about the corona skeptic's apology.
RTL is largely unimpressed by the latest statements by Michael Wendler (48, "She Loves The DJ"). The pop singer defended himself in an Instagram story against being called a conspiracy theorist and corona denier. Instead, he sees himself as a "corona realist" and a "skeptic of pandemic measures".
In his statement at the beginning of October, Wendler had accused television of being "synchronized". He took this accusation back and apologized for it. He also called the fact that he had refused an interview with RTL a "big mistake". The broadcaster responded with the words: "Anyone who is in public and actively uses it for their messages should think twice as much before making a statement. We have heard Michael Wendler's current statement without being able to judge his salary or to want."
