Monday June 6, 2022, Michel Cymes was invited on the Daily set, on TMC. On the occasion of the release of the book Memory, you have the power, the famous doctor revealed his technique to fight against his ADHD.
Famous doctor and host, Michel Cymes revealed in 2019 to be suffering from attention deficit disorder with hyperactivity. Monday June 6, 2022, on the Daily set, on TMC, the one who is now an actor revealed his technique to fight against this disorder. He first confided:I’m shooting two episodes of the series La Doc et le Véto, on France 3. I have to learn my dialogues of course, but I also have to learn the dialogue of others to respond at the right time. I have a hard time remembering! I think I left everything on the benches of the university, so I do little drawings, on the side.“On a giant screen, the text of Michel Cymes then appeared. Viewers were able to see that he was highlighting these lines in fluorescent yellow, but also that he was drawing next to the sentences he had to learn.
Reading his text, Adriana Karembeu’s sidekick exclaimed: “‘These are the joys of rural deserts” so I added a small desert palm tree. ‘The school has been closed for a long time’, you see that there is a cross on the school. ‘Lack of schoolchildren’, so I crossed out schoolchildren… ‘Lack of cash flow’, I crossed out a dollar. That actually forces me when I’m going to want to memorize all that… It’s little personal stuff, but it forced me to think about what I was going to do as a drawing, so it’s the sense of creativity, to draw it, therefore motor skills.“On another page, the famous doctor made a rebus.”The simple fact of working, forcing myself to think about the drawing I’m going to make, makes me memorize the text immediately. Afterwards, if I have a hole during the scene, I see it appear in front of me“, he assured.

He then explained:Thanks to my studies, which have lasted some time, I have built up a kind of library in my brain, which I come to draw from. My luck too is that I get bored very quickly. I even have a child psychiatrist friend who diagnosed me with ADHD: attention deficit hyperactivity disorder. This allowed me to understand the difficulties I had in carrying out my studies.
