Michel Drucker is not about to leave the small screen! However, the 78-year-old facilitator underwent triple coronary bypass surgery, in September 2020. After a heavy intervention of seven hours and long weeks of rehabilitation, the Taulier of the small screen confided in the columns of The Meuse on his fragile health. It all started last summer. While in his house in Provence, the facilitator feels tired after a "little thyroid problem". "A bacteria infected one of my teeth and the infection has spread to the heart, to a mitral valve, also to the kidney", started by explaining the presenter of Can't wait for next Sunday (France 2).
"A part" of one of his legs being "necrotic", Michel Drucker feared his "amputation". Faced with the urgency of the situation, Dany Saval's companion undergoes a battery of tests which allows the medical team to discover that he must undergo a triple bypass surgery. "I told myself that I would not come back … That if I got out of it, it would be with consequences! You know, I lost 11 kilos … ", Michel Drucker remembered. A real "shock" for one who is known to be a hypochondriac. "This is the first time that I have had such a health problem! I ended up believing what people said about me: Ah, Michel Drucker, he is invincible! ’. Well no. By dint of hearing that I was not my age, I ended up mistaking myself for someone younger! ", he admitted.
Michel Drucker is "hang up " to his job
However, no question of saying goodbye to television. Guest in We're remaking the TV, Eric Dussart's show on RTL, he spoke about his comeback on France 2. "It will be at the end of March, beginning of April. I will finish the season until Rolland-Garros. We will come back to the Vivement dimanche in two parts, we will do twice 45 minutes, that suits me because it will be less exhausting for me", he explained. Before adding : "We want to do this to the end, we do not hang up in our job because it is the viewers who hang up for us. It's my passion, I'll live it to the end unless one day I am zapped, but it will not be my responsibility. I don't intend to leave at all".
