The news concerning Michel Drucker is rather reassuring. Hospitalized a few days ago, the emblematic host of the public service had to undergo a heavy heart operation, as revealed by our colleagues from Here. This Friday, March 24, on the Touche set not at my post, Benjamin Castaldi gave an update on his friend’s state of health. “He is doing very well. He has been talking again since today. It was a somewhat complicated operation. We changed a valve, the mitral valve. There was a kind of microbe that had attacked this valve. But the operation went very well”assured the host who replaced, for the occasion, Cyril Hanouna.
Benjamin Castaldi also gave details on the date of Michel Drucker’s return to the airon France 3 with Vivement dimanche. “He should return, either in June, after Roland-Garros, or in September”, said the former host of Secret Story. Asked by some of his columnists who wanted to know if he had been able to speak, in person, to Michel Drucker, Benjamin Castaldi added: “I did not speak to him because he was in intensive care until this morning. I had his brother-in-law, Philippe Alain. And everything is fine! We kiss him very much and we hope he will come back very soon. fast”.
Michel Drucker: already hospitalized in February
This heavy operation undergone by Michel Drucker comes on top to the presenter’s recent health glitches. In 2020, he had been hospitalized for long weeks for infectious endocarditis, then for a triple bypass and finally the infection of his scar. He was then operated on for eight hours. “My heart was stopped for a few hours and hooked up to a machine. There, I realized I had come close to disaster”, he then confided to the Parisian. Last February, Michel Drucker was once again hospitalized for a week of check-ups. A stay finally extended by three weeks following the discovery, by the doctors, of elements of recurrence which required additional care for a fortnight. He was then able to return home at the end of February.
