If the animator often finds himself in the headlines thanks to his profession, it was because of his troubles that he made headlines Monday, June 27, 2022. That day, The Parisian revealed that Michel Drucker had been the victim of a scam. The presenter complained about it at the police station of the 7th arrondissement of Paris, which is in charge of the investigation. In concrete terms, the facts took place on Friday June 24, 2022. On that day, Michel Drucker received the phone call of a pseudo-banking agent. The scammer introduced himself as a “bank fraud officer” BNP Paribas, in which the presenter has an account.
Michel Drucker: victim of a scam that cost him 10,000 euros
Michel Drucker’s interlocutor claimed to be seeing live a “fraudulent transaction in the amount of 10,000 euros“on his account, titled”operation to Ivory Coast“. He then told her of his concern on the other end of the line, but also of the urgency of the situation. Michel Drucker’s fake bank agent obviously knew how to be very convincing on the phone, given that the host followed his guidelines afterwards. Making him believe that this operation had to be canceled directly, while raising the specter of the money that disappeared in Africa, Michel Drucker made two remote transfers. The first for an amount of 7,500 euros, and the other for 2,500 euros. The presenter realized the deception too late after hanging up. He then instructed his butler to go and file a complaint for him.
