Michelin: decline in sales, forecasts unchanged


(CercleFinance.com) – Michelin reports that its total sales reached €6,642 million in the 1st quarter, down 4.6% compared to the same period a year earlier, due to lower volumes, as expected.

In detail, sales fell by 2.4% in the Automotive division (to 3,376 ME), fell by 6% for the Road Transport segment (to 1,595 ME) and fell by 7.6% in the Transportation Activities. specialties (at 1671 ME).

The Group maintains its forecast scenario for sell-in markets, with annual sales volumes in the range of -2% to 0%.

Furthermore, the 2024 guidance remains unchanged with sector operating income above €3.5 billion at constant exchange rate, and free cash flow before acquisitions above €1.5 billion.
