Michelin: distribution of a dividend of 1.35 euros per share voted at the AGM


(Boursier.com) — The Combined General Meeting of the Compagnie Générale des Etablissements Michelin was held today in Clermont-Ferrand, under the chairmanship of Mr. Florent Menegaux, Chairman of the Management Board.

The resolutions proposed for shareholder vote were all approved, including:
-The distribution of a dividend of 1.35 euros per share, payable in cash from May 24, 2024.
-The appointments of Mr. Patrick de LA CHEVARDIERE, Mrs. Catherine SOUBIE and Mr. Pascal VINET to the Supervisory Board.
-The elements of the 2023 remuneration and the 2024 remuneration policy of the Managers and Corporate Officers.

Yves Chapot, Manager and Financial Director, discussed in detail the very solid performance delivered by the Group in 2023, in an environment that remains volatile and uncertain. He was thus able to detail the progress made on all the components of the Michelin business model, which are people development, respect for the Planet and economic performance.
Yves Chapot, on this occasion, focused on the “Planet” aspect of the Michelin Group’s strategy. A film illustrating the transformation of factories to achieve the environmental objectives set by the Group was presented to shareholders: for example, the deployment of new electric presses for baking tires requires 65% less energy than steam presses, while improving the working environment of its agents.

Several illustrations of the power of technology and the strength of the Michelin brand were shared during the session. Unveiled at the 2023 Paris Air Show, the new MICHELIN Air X Skylight aircraft tire was positioned on stage. This product, stronger and lighter, offers exceptional performance while helping to decarbonize air transport.

Outside the Zénith, shareholders were also able to discover an inflatable shade demonstrator. Integrated into the urban space, this shade house, which is designed to provide shade and cool cities in the summer, demonstrates Michelin’s know-how in assembling materials for inflatable structures.

Shareholders were also able to watch two other films during the session. The first presented the new “Via Michelin” offer: this mobility assistance service is part of the Group’s Lifestyle activities which offer ever more innovative experiences.

The second film, ?Michelin, a matter of substance?!?, invited shareholders on a journey to the heart of matter, leading them to discover, through Michelin’s culture of innovation and passion for science, the formidable Group expertise in the field of composite materials.

Finally, Florent Menegaux concluded this General Meeting by revealing to shareholders the Group’s new brand campaign and returned to the deployment of the “Michelin in Motion”?2030 strategy, recalling the progress made in 2023.
