(CercleFinance.com) – Michelin announces that COSMOS, a new agricultural tire manufacturing machine, was recently installed at its Troyes factory.
This project involved multidisciplinary teams from the start to develop an ergonomic and efficient solution.
COSMOS is part of the factory’s 2021-2026 roadmap, aiming to manufacture competitive tires and improve the quality of life at work, assures Bibendum.
This equipment also contributes to Michelin’s All Sustainable vision by reducing the use of solvents by 20%, increasing production flexibility and improving the working conditions of operators.
Michelin specifies that its Troyes factory is also continuing its modernization with the introduction of robots and automated trolleys. Currently, the factory produces 40% of agricultural tires and exports 85% of its production with its 750 employees.
