Michelin: new ‘Gigafactory’ inaugurated by Symbio


(CercleFinance.com) – Symbio, the joint venture owned equally by Forvia, Michelin and Stellantis, today inaugurated SymphonHy, its first ‘Gigafactory’, as well as its center of technological and industrial excellence.

Located in Saint-Fons (Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes), SymphonHy is the largest integrated fuel cell production site in Europe and consolidates Symbio’s technological and industrial leadership.

SymphonHy will allow Symbio to support its customers in making zero-emission hydrogen mobility an affordable reality, without compromising performance, assures Stellantis.

‘Today’s inauguration marks an important milestone as hydrogen is part of the set of technologies we offer to our light commercial vehicle customers,’ commented Carlos Tavares, CEO of Stellantis.

‘This technology is a key element of the powerful electric ecosystem that we are developing to support our bold goal of achieving, by 2030, 100% of our sales in electric in Europe and 50% in the United States,’ he said. -he adds.
