Barack Obama dedicated touching words to his wife Michelle on Mother’s Day
Mother’s Day also gave former US President Barack Obama, 60, a chance to say thank you to his wife and the mother of his two daughters. On Instagram, he shared a family photo and some touching lines he addressed to Michelle Obama, 58, “Thank you for being a wonderful mother and a role model for our daughters and so many other people around the world,” wrote the 44 .President of the United States of America.
But the post, which got over a million likes after just one day, carries a slight drop of bitterness. In fact, Barack Obama chose an older family photo for his post. Since the Obamas officially took office in 2017, there have only been a few pictures showing Michelle, Barack and their two daughters, Malia Obama, 23, and Natasha Obama, 20, together. Fans would certainly have been happy about a new recording of the family. Especially to see how big the kids have gotten and also how much Barack and Michelle themselves have changed over the last few years.
What’s more, it would have been a private peek fans rarely get from the one-time president. Despite the slight damper, the tone of the comments is positive: they all honor Michelle Obama, who was and remains a great role model for many people and women.
