One hairstyle trend has been neglected this season, it should be different: This is how the micro fringe, an ultra-short pony, is styled.

In the spring of 2021, the stars were mainly hit by “curtain bangs”. The curtain pony framed roughly the face of singer Billie Eilish (19), who, with a blonde mane and a cool look, posted a picture of herself and her then new pony. The pony version in autumn 2021 is much shorter, runs straight across the forehead and ends above the eyebrows: micro fringe.

Of course, it is up to you whether the pony should be styled geometrically or whether it is much more casual. No matter if strict or casual – the micro fringe fits every hair length. If you prefer it short, opt for the blunt bob, a variant of the bob in which the hair is cut chin-length and accurately to the same length.

Actress Sheila Vand (36) opted for the slightly longer version at the Venice Film Festival and blow-dried the ends of her hair in a lively 60s style. Together with the Micro Fringe, the “Argo” actress succeeded in hairstyling that looked loose and light, but still fit on the red carpet.

Who Does the Micro Fringe Fit?

The micro fringe is best for women with a narrow or oval face. If you have a more angular or round face, curtain bangs are definitely a little better, because the parted and brushed aside bangs make the contours appear softer and stretch the face.
