Many different and new trends await us throughout the year. We quickly lose track of things. So what about all the little trends that get lost in the crowd?

To give you a clear view, we show you the micro trends that will accompany us this year and are worth more than just a quick glance. Here are seven trends that we will give our full attention to.

Micro-Trends 2022: Colorful stripes

Stripes are the most classic pattern and now the otherwise timeless trend is getting a little more eye-catching. With the current striped looks, we immediately feel like spring, because we are focusing on a colorful mix of colors that will dominate this pattern. Whether horizontal or vertical stripes, we can be sure that it will be colourful. Emili Sindlev’s look shows that stripes don’t just have to be black and white to look great.

That’s why we tear ourselves – the new closures

The zipper is now no longer just used to close our jackets or be a cute detail on our sweaters, but it is now getting a lot of attention because it will decorate complete sweaters and blazers. Influencer Xenia Adonts already wears her tops with several zippers and Alexander McQueen also integrates the special detail into the sweaters.

leather vests

Waistcoats will definitely stay with us in spring and will be rocking at the same time. The trend piece is worn in leather look and gives every outfit a special touch. It is a piece of clothing that fits into the hip leather trend, but is even more special and eye-catching. Leather vests aren’t for everyone, but the trend packs a big punch. Influencer Benthe Liem proves that a leather vest in combination with a casual sweater looks really great and breaks up the otherwise very rocky touch.

corset tops

When it comes to trends, it’s worth looking into the past, because special looks that we’ve almost forgotten are waiting for us there. This also includes corset tops, which were already very popular last year and are now making a comeback. The special style is convincing because we can combine it excellently and a corset goes well with jeans or a skirt. Leonie Hanne wears the corset look monochrome and thus brings the trend piece into the year 2022.

Floor length skirts

Not only super long dresses are trendy, but also floor-length skirts. In spring and summer we style the trend with short tops that conjure up a beautiful silhouette. In combination with a sweater, the skirt can also be worn on the hips without showing too much or a little higher with a matching top that ends just above the skirt.

Puff all over

In spring and summer, we go all out for puffed sleeves and dresses because we simply have to take this fairytale look with us. Fashion labels such as Celine, Richard Quinn or Carolina Herrera rely on the eye-catching detail and give their styles an extra portion of fullness. As a top, in combination with jeans, the cute look looks stylish and casual. If we want something more, we do it like Emmanuelle Koffi and go straight to a dreamy dress.

patchwork

There can be a lot going on in our clothes in spring, because patchwork patterns are making a comeback and are more exciting than ever. This is a micro trend that we actually have to get used to. He always reminds us of a homemade blanket and not a fashion trend. But this style is much more than just patterns on a blanket. Patchwork combines sustainability with fashion and makes it possible to conjure up something new from old fabric remnants.
