Microfibre cloths & feather dusters: These are the test winners

After all: All of the six microfiber cloths tested received the grade “good”, above all that Vileda Microfiber Magic duster with the grade “good” (1.8). Of the ten handle dusters tested, only two scored “good” – Duster Dust magnet kit from Swiffer (1.7) and Plumero DustXpress by Pronto (1.9). Five of the ten feather dusters received the grade “sufficient”, three “inadequate”.

The testers also looked at the ecological balance of the products: Disposable feather dusters came off the worst with their relatively high material consumption.

There were also four washable reusable products in the test – a feather duster with a handle and three cloths. Some of the washable cloths are more expensive at first glance. From the point of view of the product testers, however, they are worthwhile because they are durable and therefore sustainable – even after 50 washes, they absorbed the dust well.

The testers advise: The best way to clean the towels at 40 degrees is without bleach, using a color detergent and line dry.
