Microids continues to diversify, the French publisher and developer already distributes several video games in France, but this week it is launching its “Third Party Publishers” department with international ambitions. A first title has already been announced, published by Kwalee and developed by Fallen Tree Games.
Microids indeed signed an international distribution and publishing agreement for The Precincta dirty police action game with a “neon-noir” atmosphere. In The Precinct, players take on the role of young officer Nick Cordell Jr. in 1980s America. They will face rival gangs, urban decay and police corruption while trying to restore order to a city in difficulty. On the ground, that means patrolling and maintaining order in a city where procedurally generated crimes occur, ranging from parking violations to bank robberies, in an effort to protect citizens, if only for a another day.
