It’s not just in the video game industry that Microsoft is making takeovers. A few days ago, the Redmond firm announced the acquisition of Miburo, a start-up specializing in cybersecurity.

Miburo joins the ranks of Microsoft
Cybersecurity is among Microsoft’s biggest concerns. As proof, in 2021, the American giant already surrounded itself with RiskIQ, ReFirm Labs, CyberX and CloudKnox. A little less than a year after its last acquisition, Microsoft has just announced the acquisition of a new company specializing in the analysis and research of cyber threats.
Known as Miburo, this start-up, led and founded by a certain Clint Watts, will join Microsoft’s Customer Security and Trust branch. In concrete terms, this will have the main objective of helping the Redmond firm to extend its threat detection capabilities in order to deal with new cyberattacks.
