Microsoft built clandestinely hammer function – CHIP

First install the free Microsoft PowerToys on your system. The slim collection of tools requires hardly any resources and offers numerous functions – you will find the icon for it in the tray of the taskbar after restarting the PC.

You can start the Text Extractor simply with the following key combination:

  • Windows key + Shift + T

This will cause a small crosshair to appear on your screen. All you have to do is frame the area with the mouse that you want the screenshot tool to capture.

You can also use the Shift key to adjust the recording area again. The text contained in the image is automatically copied to the clipboard. This also works very reliably with long texts.
