Microsoft details September Xbox update rolling out today

The program for this back-to-school update is quite tough. Starting with the introduction of a tool for customizing the illuminated logo of the new Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2 Core. It is therefore now possible to choose with precision the color of the LED hiding behind it and its light intensity directly from the console interface. Microsoft evokes no less than 16 million possible nuances, just that. It is still necessary to have acquired this expensive device, marketed at the price of 129.99 euros to which must be added that of the pack of interchangeable parts of 59.99 euros.

But this update will also be of interest to owners of the most standard Xbox console. It does indeed introduce a number of interesting (and less gimmicky) new features. Starting with a complete overhaul of the library which will now display all the games accessible by the user, whether they have been purchased or are part of their Xbox Game Pass, EA Access or Games With Gold subscription.

Another interesting feature: the ability to choose the storage location for games and applications installed on your console. If it has been added the reinforcement of one or more additional storage spaces, it is now possible to select a specific installation location from all the options available, or to let the console manage it for more simplicity. .

The Group creation tool has also been partly revised. From now on, it is no longer necessary to create a new Group each time you want to gather your friends. The old group chats will be kept in memory and can be relaunched at will. Finally, in addition to a more convenient capture sharing feature for Xbox Game Bar on PC, this update rolls out the Ambient Noise Cancellation feature to Xbox One and PC, which is already available on Xbox Series.
