Microsoft Edge has an image builder. Here’s how to use it

Microsoft launched its own AI image generator last week, powered by the most advanced version of OpenAI’s DALL-E. On Thursday, Microsoft announced that this image creator from Bing would be integrated into Edge.

When browsing Edge, you’ll be able to access Bing’s Image Creator by simply clicking an icon in the sidebar, Microsoft says. You can enter your message there and get your image in seconds, without even having to leave the page you were on.

This feature can be particularly useful if you are working on, for example, PowerPoint or social media posts. In both cases you can use an image generated by the AI.

AI text and image generation in one place

In March, Microsoft added Bing Chat to the sidebar, which means that when browsing Edge, you’ll be able to easily access your AI text and image generation needs all in one place. which will save you time and a lot of hassle.

The new Microsoft Drop-in makes it easier to share files between devices. The Drop icon will be located in the sidebar, allowing users to drag and drop content to then open it on their other devices. Microsoft says Drop is available on PC, Mac, iOS, and Android as long as you’re signed in to your Microsoft account in Edge.

Another new Edge feature lets you edit and save web images in your Edge browser. For example, if you see an image that you want to save online, you can right-click on the image and, without leaving the browser, edit the image to your liking.

Finally, Microsoft has announced new updates to Efficiency Mode to improve the battery life of your device. With the latest updates, if your computer detects that your battery is low, it automatically goes into efficiency mode.
