Microsoft now sells Windows 11 licenses directly.
Licenses for Windows 11 Home and Windows 11 Pro are now also available directly from the Microsoft online store. Previously, Microsoft did not offer to purchase Windows 11 licenses, instead encouraging users to first purchase a Windows 10 Home/Pro license and then switch to Windows 11 for free via Windows Update. Provided, of course, that the PC used meets the hardware requirements for Windows 11 that have changed compared to the predecessor.
