The list of CPUs compatible with Windows 11 has been incremented and released by Microsoft! You can finally determine if your system is compatible with the latest version of the OS and see what changes have been made to the catalog of processors associated with it.

Since Windows 11 was released in October 2021, Microsoft dropped support for 32-bit processors. Its latest OS calls for 1 GHz minimum frequency, two or more cores, and 64 bits from the processor. Microsoft has discreetly updated its list of official CPUs fully compatible with Windows 11 by integrating many new models from Intel, AMD or Qualcomm, the latter specializing in the manufacture of mobile processors.

The new Intel processors on the list

Among the most significant additions, we could mention the behemoth Core i9-13900K and its boosted frequency of 6 GHz. Also affected are many processors in the Raptor Lake range, the 13e generation from Intel, available since October 2022. For example, the I5-1334U, 1335U and 1335UE have been included.

The full list of supported CPUs can be found on Microsoft’s official website, sourced at the end of this article. With more than a hundred different compatible references, players will have enough to run their games on Windows 11 without worry.

Interesting additions from AMD

The additions from AMD promise to be just as enticing. CPUs with 3D V-cache miniaturization technology have all been added to the list. This is particularly the case for flagship models such as the Ryzen 7 5800X3D, the Ryzen 3 4100 or the 5500, which are still based on the AM4 socket. Regarding the latest socket in force, the AM5, we will find the flagship from AMD, the Ryzen 9 7950X3D, as well as other non-X variants, the Ryzen 5 7600 or Ryzen 7700 for example. Same thing, you will find the list of compatible processors by going for a ride on the official Microsoft website.
