(CercleFinance.com) – Microsoft announced last night that Mercedes-Benz had decided to integrate the generative artificial intelligence tool ChatGPT into the voice-guided system that equips its vehicles.
Starting today, owners of 900,000 Mercedes cars in the United States will be able to take part in this three-month ‘beta’ project, which will allow them to use ChatGPT functionalities from intelligent voice control ‘ Hey Mercedes.
“ChatGPT promotes more dynamic conversations, which will give our customers the possibility of having access to a voice assistant that not only understands the instructions given to it, but also engages in interactive discussions”, explains Microsoft.
“ChatGPT excels at handling follow-up questions and maintaining contextual understanding,” the software giant adds.
“Drivers will be able to ask complex questions or engage in multi-level conversations, and receive detailed and relevant answers from the voice assistant,” he concludes.
According to Microsoft, Mercedes-Benz is considering partnering with developers to extend the ChatGPT ecosystem to third-party applications allowing, for example, to reserve a table at the restaurant or cinema tickets.
