Microsoft Reportedly Entering Discussions To Develop Fallout New Vegas 2

Fallout New Vegas 2 may well be a reality. According to Jeff Grubb, Micorosft would be building plans to take advantage of Bethesda’s catalog by bringing back a license greatly appreciated by Western RPG enthusiasts. The firm has all the keys in hand to achieve this.

Fallout New Vegas 2 in a few years?

In a streaming show “Giantbomb show Grubbsnax” (via VCG), VentureBeat reporter Jeff Grubb (and regular source of proven leaks thereafter) reveals that the Obsidian studio could develop the sequel to the cult RPG, Fallout New Vegas. When Microsoft acquired Bethesda, many players thought about this possibility since the American company has also owned the Obsidian studio since 2018.

Thus, it is not surprising that Microsoft takes advantage of the circumstances to prepare a nice cartridge in the future. On this subject, Jeff Grubb states this:

“It’s still in its infancy, but people have started talking and saying these words in several sentences, and these words are ‘Obsidian’ and ‘New Vegas 2’.

He says a lot of people at Microsoft think it might work that there’s a lot of interest in seeing it happen. Recall that in 2013, the CEO of Obsidian, Feargus Urquart, had expressed his desire to make a sequel. With that, the links now seem in place, and it would indeed be surprising if Microsoft failed to make this possible.
