Microsoft victim of a cyberattack by the hacker group Lapsus$

After Nvidia and Samsung, the group of pirates Lapsus$ would have made a new victim, Microsoft. Lapsus$ has published a screenshot of the internal tool used by the developers of the publisher, without claiming anything for the moment.

The group of hackers Lapsus$ had already attacked Samsung and Nvidia, notably by blackmailing the graphics card manufacturer to remove its limitation on cryptocurrency mining. Nvidia not having given in, the group began to publish the information it had stolen.

This Sunday, a screenshot was posted on Lapsus$’s Telegram channel. This capture includes the Azure DevOps platform, Microsoft’s internal tool. You can see there in particular the work files of Bing or even Cortana. The screenshot was quickly removed from Telegram promising to repost it later with presumably claims. For its part, Microsoft reacted by confirming that it had opened an internal investigation to find the origin of this intrusion.
