Microsoft is betting heavily on AI in the future and would like to integrate it into several of its flagship applications. It could thus enter software such as Paint, Photos or Screen Capture Tool. A small revolution that would make life easier for the user.
The future of Microsoft will not be written without artificial intelligence. The Redmond firm intends to place it at the center of its ecosystem, whether on the Bing search engine or in Windows 11. Soon, these are three flagship software that could benefit from it.
Windows Central says Microsoft is working on integrating AI into software Paint, Photos and Snipping Tool. The idea would be to increase the capabilities of these applications tenfold and save the user time by performing complex tasks in no time.
Paint could soon welcome artificial intelligence
On Paint, the arrival of AI could change everything. The user would have the possibility to create a complete and coherent image of a simple request. A manipulation reminiscent of Bing Image Creator, Microsoft’s image generator. For good reason: Paint’s AI would use the same technology. We can also imagine a tool to correct an image or color it in another way.
On Photos, the default image reader of Windows 11, the AI could act in order toimprove a failed photo, eliminate unwanted passers-by on a landscape or even identify people present. It won’t be a revolution, since such tools already exist elsewhere, such as on Android, but it will be very practical.

Finally, the screenshot tool should also gain a lot. He would be able to understand the image it captures, identify elements and output text if there is any (and translate it if necessary). A big time saver for many users.
As Windows Central points out, these innovations are in the experimental phase and for the moment, no release window has been decided. Some features might require additional equipment like a neural processor, while others would work like a charm on current machines. Microsoft could distill these new features in drops over Windows 11 updates or wait for the release of Windows 12 in 2024. AI could thus become the center of this new OS, but also its main commercial argument.
