Microsoft is starting to integrate PC Manager directly into Windows 11. This software should help users improve their computer’s performance and free up storage space.
There’s no shortage of PC system optimization software that’s supposed to improve your machine’s performance on Windows, but did you know that Microsoft has its own program? Microsoft PC Manager is available on Windows 10 (version 1809 and higher) and Windows 11. The software can be downloaded from the Microsoft Store in several countries, France not being officially one of them at the moment. But its manual installation will probably no longer be necessary soon.
As spotted by Neowin, the patch notes for the latest Windows 11 beta indicate that Microsoft PC Manager will now be natively integrated into Windows 11 in China. It is therefore very possible that this tool will also land on our computers soon. The publisher has not yet communicated on this subject, but the official American and Spanish pages of Microsoft PC Manager display the mention “Coming soon”suggesting a deployment in Western markets.
An efficiency to put into perspective
Like many third-party software, Microsoft PC Manager promises to clean your system and free up storage spaceas well as boost the performance of your PC. The program also allows you to block advertising pop-ups and application pop-up windows, perform a health check of your device or quickly access various Windows tools, such as the calculator, screenshot, the notepad, the voice recorder…
Although useful at one time, these system optimization tools have gradually fallen out of favor. Improvements in the hardware and software of our PCs have made them less essential than before, especially since the way they operate can often be problematic.
Microsoft PC Manager is no exception. It has been accused of several problems, including emptying the Windows Prefetch folder, which can solve problems in certain situations, but also slow down the launch of applications. Worse, the software believes that your Windows system is not optimized and needs to be repaired if Bing is not configured as the default search engine.
