Midjourney 6: the new version is available for everyone!

The launch of the sixth version of Midjourney was close, as indicated by the start of the calibration phase of the tool with users of the service.

Midjourney 6 is finally online in Beta version

According to user feedback on the social network X (formerly Twitter), the improvements are significant between the previous and this new version of Midjourney. Among the main updates made to the artificial intelligence tool, we note an improvement in the quality of the images generated, but also much better management in the writing of the text.

This example, posted on X, demonstrates Midjourney’s new ability to integrate text provided by the user into the created image. The image on the left having been generated with Midjourney 5.2 and the one on the right by Midjourney 6. The initial prompt was “A corner bar with a sign that says “open late”.

To use this new Beta version of Midjourney, the user must have an account with the service. By entering a prompt in the Discord software, used while waiting for the tool’s graphical interface to be deployed, adding “–v 6” at the end of the request allows Midjourney to understand that it must use the new version to execute the task.

Another example of a comparison between Midjourney 5.2 (left) and Midjourney 6 (right). The prompt used being “Reflection of a sunset in a puddle of rainwater”.

Here, version 5.2 still on the left for Midjourney v6 on the right, for the prompt “45 year old female chef with silver hair standing in the busy kitchen of a vintage style restaurant, looking out a small round window at the busy city street, with freshly baked bread on a wooden table in front of her..
