Three barges along the English coast will accommodate asylum seekers in the coming weeks in order to “save money for the taxpayer”.

VS’is the latest find of the Sunak government: a first barge, 93 meters long, on three floors that look like red and gray containers, to house illegal migrants crossing the Channel. THE Bibby Stockholm arrived from Italy last month, heading for Falmouth where it is being renovated. In the coming days, the barge will dock off Portland, a small island in Dorset, south of England. It will initially house 50 asylum seekers, then 500, for a period of at least 18 months. Single men only, the government said.
