Migrants tell their children why they fled their countries

How do you tell your children why you fled your country? Nine uprooted women and men answer this question through letters addressed to their daughters and sons. They come from Afghanistan, Syria, Iraq, Iran or Cameroon and are waiting in Greece to obtain their papers. All are exiled, all want the same thing: a better future for their children.

Directors Philip Brink and Marieke van der Velden filmed these sensitive testimonies: mothers and fathers who write to their children of tomorrow, when they will be old enough to better understand what they have experienced. Their words are collected here in The Children of the Labyrinth, a film broadcast by The world.

Today in the world, more than 100 million people are displaced or stateless. The witnesses in this film are among them.
