On the occasion of the launch of the next season of “The Voice” on TF1, Mika returned to a highlight of his very first edition as a coach.
The launch is approaching. “The Voice”, TF1’s flagship tele-hook show is making its comeback on Saturday, September 11. For this “All-Stars” edition which will celebrate the 10 years of the program, 50 talents already on the show will try their luck with five emblematic coaches: Jenifer, Florent Pagny, Zazie, Patrick Fiori and Mika. And it is precisely the latter who shared a funny anecdote about an event from a previous season.
In a video posted on the show’s Twitter account, the British-Lebanese singer recalled the arrival of Kylie Minogue in the third season. For his very first edition as a coach, Mika had invited the Australian singer to be his co-coach. Except that the interpreter of “Can’t Get You Out of My Head” did not speak a word of French. A slightly annoying situation which forced Mika to do his translator. And it wasn’t that easy. “The truth, now we can tell, is that the shoot, instead of taking an hour, took us five. I wrote French. I was his coach! ” he laughs today.
