How does Matthias Reims hit "Damn, I love you" sound in a modern sound? Mike Singer provides clarification.

With the cryptic hashtag #VILD, Mike Singer (20, "Karma") distributed the first hint almost a week ago. Now it is clear what the artist and this year's "DSDS" judge was getting at. He takes on the hit hit "Verdammt, Ich lieb 'Dich" by Matthias Reim (63), which was released in 1990. The cover version of the classic will be released on January 29th, and a first sample can already be heard on Singer's Instagram page.

The 20-year-old has not yet revealed why it had to be exactly this song. In an interview with RTL he only said: "I think we all know this song and associate a lot with this song." The musician is indebted to Rhyme, "that I was allowed to make this song again, in my own way".
