Mike Tindall
Daughter Mia strives for her athletic father
Mike Tindall has an intimate relationship with his eldest daughter Mia. Is that because of her sporting talent in rugby? As the ex-professional now reveals, she will soon start contact sports.
Actually, the eldest child of Mike Tindall, 43, and Queen’s granddaughter Zara Tindall, 40, often had problems getting up to play rugby. “It’s always hard to get Mia to go. She says, ‘I don’t like it’ – and then you get there and she’s gone,” the former rugby pro reported a few weeks ago on the podcast “The Good, The Bad & The Rugby”.
Mike Tindall: Is daughter Mia aiming for a professional career?
But the tide has turned. In the current interview with the British “Hello” magazine, Mike reveals that the eight-year-old now even wants to follow in his footsteps.
Queen Elizabeth’s great-granddaughter, 96, has a clear rugby talent – and takes after her once successful father. “Mia scored a few goals…” Tindall proudly revealed to his “The Good, The Bad & The Rugby” co-hosts Alex Payne, 41, and James Haskell, 37, in early March.

In the meantime, she can also talk to her cousin Prince George, who is also a rugby enthusiast, about tactics and deceptive maneuvers on the field.
“She loves rugby”
Soon Mia climbs to the next step of her athletic career ladder. “She loves it and is looking forward to starting contact rugby next year,” Mike told Hello. She follows in the footsteps of her father, who played a pivotal role in England’s national rugby team from 2000 to 2011, when he announced the end of his professional playing career with Cloucester RFC in 2014 – the year his first daughter was born at the Gloucestershire Royal Hospital was born.
Without further ado, the now eight-year-old daughter of Zara and Mike Tindall was inherited the rugby pro gene. The future will show whether she will really be as successful as her father or whether it will remain just a hobby.
