They belong to the royal family, but Zara Tindall and her husband Mike have to earn their own money. That's not always easy…

Mike Tindall (42) revealed in a "The Times" interview that he was "always worried about money" for bills and school fees. Especially now that he and his wife Zara (39) are expecting their third child … The former English rugby star is apparently also suffering from the Corona crisis, which is causing income from events to break down.

The 42-year-old lives with the Queen's granddaughter, Zara Tindall, and their children on the Gatcombe Park estate in Gloucestershire, which belongs to his mother-in-law Princess Anne (70). The only daughter of Queen Elizabeth II (94) is said to have rejected the monarch's offer to give her children royal titles so that they can pursue their own careers. Apparently this also means that the Tindall family has to worry about money. You have to plan, says Mike Tindall, and see what happens to the third child in terms of school fees and bills.

"It has its advantages and disadvantages"

Mike Tindall earns his living as a brand ambassador and speaker, among other things. Since many events were canceled due to the corona pandemic, he has financial losses. However, his family will probably not gnaw on starvation anytime soon: His wife also works as a brand ambassador, and she also has a jewelry collection together with an Australian brand. According to the "Daily Mail", experts estimate that their deals could have a total value of around 1.2 million euros per year.

Tindall ended his professional career in 2014. To be part of the royal family, but to make your own money, you get used to, he told the Times: "It has its advantages and disadvantages." He added: "You think about what you are doing and you need to be aware of it, but it doesn't necessarily determine you. Zara and I have always been good at dealing with what is right for us." That his wife is pregnant again, Tindall revealed in December in his podcast "The Good, The Bad & The Rugby". The couple already has two daughters, Mia Grace (6) and Lena Elizabeth (2).
