Indeed, in recent weeks, the Disney + platform has decided to strengthen its parental controls. The mini-series Mike will only be available on profiles over 18 as it contains scenes of violence likely to disturb young audiences. This biopic looks back on the darkest moments of Mike Tyson’s life, which has become an infrequent time and notably spent in prison. This mini-series also addresses the societal problems that plague the United States, such as racism, the media, misogyny or the American dream.
Mike on Disney +: who is the actor who plays Mike Tyson in the mini-series?
It is Trevante Rhodes who has been chosen to interpret Mike Tyson in this biopic available, from this Thursday, September 8, on Disney +. This 32-year-old American actor was revealed in 2016 in the film Moonlight. More recently, we could see this former sprinter in the film bird box. At his side, we also find Russell Hornsby, seen recently in the film Spider-Man: Far from home.
As a reminder, Mike Tyson is formally opposed to the release of this mini-series. Last August, the former boxer, now 56, posted a message on Instagram to denounce the treatment of his life in this biopic. “I can’t stand their story about my life. It’s not 1822. It’s 2022.
