The 55th Super Bowl will take place in February. As has now been announced, Miley Cyrus will also perform in addition to The Weeknd.

Preparations for the 55th Super Bowl are in full swing. On February 7th, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers will meet the Kansas City Chiefs in their own stadium. As usual, the mega sports event will be accompanied by an entertainment spectacle, in which Miley Cyrus (28, "Midnight Sky") will also take part this year.

Appearance for Corona helpers

As the American football professional league NFL has announced, Cyrus will, so to speak, open the big sports celebration. At the so-called "NFL TikTok Tailgate" for Super Bowl LV, the singer will sing for invited guests of honor before the game. These are 7,500 healthcare workers vaccinated against the coronavirus who have received an exclusive invitation. The performance is to be broadcast live via the popular TikTok app – on the NFL profile. According to the organizer, excerpts can then also be seen in conventional television broadcasts.

At the end of 2020 it was announced that this year's guest star of the popular halftime show would be the Canadian singer The Weeknd (30, "Save Your Tears"). In a press release he said at the time: "We all grow up watching the greatest acts in the world at the Super Bowl and one can only dream of being in that position once." He feels "humble, honored and ecstatic" to play the halftime show. In addition to the 7,500 guests of honor, 14,500 additional fans are to be given access to the stadium. The Raymond James Stadium in Tampa has around 66,000 seats.
