Miley Cyrus: She couldn't stay sober during Corona

Most recently, Miley Cyrus had devoted himself to the concept of sobriety for months – until she broke her abstinence two weeks ago.

Miley Cyrus ("Plastic Hearts") broke her abstinence after a long time. As the singer tells in an interview with "Apple Music's New Music Daily", she "fell away" from her sobriety two weeks ago after several months. "I would never sit here and say, 'I was sober,'" said the singer. She accepted the mini relapse: "What I always say: Don't be angry, just be curious. So don't be angry with yourself, but ask yourself what happened."

For her, abstinence doesn't seem like a rigid concept: "It's pretty easy for me to get on or off the sobriety. If I don't want to do it, then I just don't. And if I want to, I do it . " Since the slip two weeks ago, Cyrus, who turned 28 on Monday, has been sober again. "I think everyone has to do what is best for them. I have no problem with drinking."

At the end of June, Cyrus revealed in an interview with "Variety" that she had changed her lifestyle after being unable to speak for four weeks due to a vocal cord operation. Out of the silence, the realization grew that she wanted to give up alcohol for the time being. At the time she had been abstinent for six months. What she loves about sobriety is the feeling of "waking up at 100 percent". "I don't want to wake up and feel groggy. I want to wake up and feel ready," says the artist.
